High Grass is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles that was created in Havana by a Cuban guitarist / Grammy-nominated engineer Marciel Miranda and a Russian vocalist Kristina Miranda. They form the current line up of the band together with the American drummer Adam Ponce.
In 2016, High Grass was nominated for The Best Rock Band of Cuba at the "Cuerda Viva" national award show. In 2017, the band relocated to California. Through 2018 - 2019, High Grass performed at the legendary venues such as The Viper Room, Cabo Wabo Cantina, Rainbow Bar, etc. Played at local festivals such as Eco Park Rising and became one of the headliners for the Mar Vista Festival. In Sep of 2019 High Grass had a pleasure to participate in the Opening Act Competition and was placed 2nd in the alt-rock category.
During the last couple of years, High Grass captured the attention of multi-grammy producer Jacquire King and talented artists, Christian Paschall (Maren Morris’s drummer), and Matt Bissonette (Elton John’s bass player), who collaborated in their songs.
